Ladder stitch
The ladder stitch is a succession of spaces, revealing small openings in the fabric. The technique consists of pulling and removing certain threads. The final rendering resembles a ladder, alternating embroidered bars and empty spaces.
Revisited on Aldabra bedding sets, this classic finish offers timeless sophistication. In table linen, the ladder finish can combine two colors with distinction and elegance, as on the Goreme two-tone tablecloths.
Bourdon
The bourdon is an embroidery stitch consisting of a straight line, about 5mm wide, that brings relief to the fabric. It can be discreet when applied tone on tone, such as on the Naica bed sets.
